The vegetable garden

Plant seeds for melons in mid-May.

If you haven’t already, soil should be warm enough now to transplant tomato and pepper seedlings.

Warmer temperatures later in May mean it’s time to plant melons!

Male Blue Dasher dragonfly resting on Verbena bonariensis ‘Pom Pom’. Want more dragonflies in your garden? Give them a resting place. Try placing a few bamboo stakes in the ground. This works especially well near a water feature.
