Join UC Master Gardeners volunteers for our last open garden of 2024--Don't miss it!
Open gardens are informal FREE events where you roam the gardens, watch what we are doing, see what we are growing and ask questions. Bring samples of your problem plants, mystery pests and questions to the “Ask the Master Gardeners” information table. Get one-on-one advice supported by the most recent research-based sustainable practices.
Immerse yourself in nature as you stroll through calming paths of Water Efficient Landscape plants, smell fragrant culinary herbs, see ripe peach varieties and protected apples in the Orchard, notice grapes grown in a barrel. Learn how to prepare raised beds for fall planting and how to prune berry vines for production. You will find the citrus grove near the large compost teaching area at the top of the hill is bearing fruit for winter. Worm composting along with vertical and container gardening is a must-see for those with smaller spaces
