Sacramento County UC Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who provide University of California approved research-based horticulture information to home gardeners of our county through:

Sacramento County Master Gardeners collaborate with city and county departments to provide information on water quality and composting, they maintain the demonstration gardens at the Fair Oaks Horticulture Center, and coordinate events.

The Master Gardener Office is closed on Fridays, but UCCE is open.

4145 Branch Center Road is located at the corner of Kiefer Blvd. and Branch Center in a single story building.  There is parking on the street in front on Branch Center or on the side of the building on Agriculture Lane.

The Master Gardeners maintain a beautiful horticulture center in Fair Oaks where we invite the public to visit and learn about growing vegetables, fruits, herbs and water efficient plants.  We also demonstrate composting techniques. See our schedule for open days.

Driving Directions

From Hwy 50: Exit going north on Sunrise Boulevard; go 4 miles to Madison Avenue; turn right. Turn right at Fair Oaks Boulevard.

From I-80 east: Exit east on Madison Avenue; go 5½ miles to Fair Oaks Boulevard; turn right.

From I-80 west: Exit Douglas Boulevard, turn left at the light, turn right on Sunrise Boulevard, left on Madison Avenue, and right on Fair Oaks Boulevard.

Enter Fair Oaks Park on Temple Park Road (next  to Fair Oaks Library). Turn left into parking lot, go past the skateboard court, straight ahead to  the Horticulture Center.  For those who like a picture, click to enlarge the thumbnail above or use the map below.
