January in the vineyard is a quiet time. Vines are dormant and pruning should wait till February.
Now is a good time to observe vines, plan and check irrigation systems so you'll be ready for the season ahead.

As you might have guessed, there will be no January pruning workshop at the Fair Oaks Horticulture Center.
